How to Beat Dull winter skin

 

It’s that time of the year again when your efforts to keep that glowing complexion during the colder months seems to be proving ineffective. Piling on various types of moisturizers, primers and foundation before you leave the house in an effort to hide your skin – we have all been there.

I am a skincare fanatic and I am not afraid to admit it. My quest towards the perfect skin is not one that is easy but one that is definitely worth it. The Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin is one of those products that you don’t realise you need until you have the opportunity to try it. Although quite pricey, the product has proven to be my saviour on days I want to give my skin an extra oomph and get what Dior refers to as the “skin of your dreams”.

 

 

 

I love using this product after my usual morning skincare routine in order to achieve a naturally beautiful, radiant skin day after day. The soft-focus fluid texture acts almost like a `filter` as it instantly transforms your skin and makes it appear smoother and firmer, more luminous and overall more beautiful which makes it the perfect all-year-round product. Thanks to the age-defying Longoza seeds hand-picked from the Ranomafana garden in Madagascar and skin perfecting Opilia leaves from the Koro garden in Burkina Faso, the product has long-lasting benefits with instant results as a result of the extraction of the plants’ active ingredients. Immediately after using the product, the texture of my skin is transformed and it appears more even, spots and redness are minimized. The perfect skin creator by Dior claims to restore the skin over time by reducing signs of ageing such as wrinkles, loss of firmness and redness. Although I have only been using it consistently for just over a month, I can definitely notice a difference in my skin when I use it daily especially since the temperatures dropped significantly. The Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin diffuses any signs of dullness by revealing a healthy vibrant complexion. The serum seems to be one of those magical products that give you that “eight hours of sleep, eight glasses of water, healthy diet” kind of skin that makes it appear more hydrated and plump. Despite the beauty of winter, the long list of excuses to sip on to your next hot chocolate, the harsh truth is that winter is not doing your skin any favours. In fact, switching on the central heating, taking extremely hot baths, staying out in the cold low-humidity weather, are taking you one step closer to a  skin care disaster – dry, dull, flaky skin.
