My go-to summer beauty products

If you are like me, you have probably ditched the full face of makeup routine for a more simple and natural look that can be achieved with a couple of products that can make you look glowy and put together. For me, those products are – mascara, lightweight foundation and a brow kit. I am kind of a pro at achieving the no-makeup makeup look in literally less than five minutes. For those of you who are just starting out and trying to figure out how to perfect the natural glowy look, be warned – might take you some time getting used to your new routine before you actually stop reaching for all those products such as under eye concealer, bronzer, powder etc that you would usually go for and you have laying on your vanity.

Dior Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume

I always try to convince myself that it is not worth spending almost £30 on a mascara but let’s face it – you probably spend more than that at  Starbucks on a weekly basis (guilty). I love the Dior Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume and I have been using it ever since it was launched. I have tried a lot of other mascaras along the way but nothing beats the effect of the plastic brush of the Dior mascara. I curl my lashes with the holy-grail Shu Uemura eyelash curler and layer the mascara on top. For added drama, I apply the Dior Diorshow Maximiser 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer prior to applying the mascara which is perfect for volumising and conditioning of the lashes. The squeezable bottle of the Pump ‘N’ Volume mascara allows to you to build on the creamy formula and achieve sensational lashes.

Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer

The Les Beiges tinted moisturizer by Chanel has always been one of those holy-grail products that I can’t live without and I always stock up on whenever I am lucky enough to find it in stock. After being discontinued for nearly a year and a half, Chanel brought back their iconic product with a new design and improved formula. The new formula of the famous Les Beiges tinted moisturizer is even better than the old version previously known as the Chanel Les Beiges all-in-one healthy glow fluid – lightweight, glowy, barely there but with enough coverage to be used on those days when your skin needs more love and attention (sigh). I mainly focus on applying the product on areas with imperfections. That is a step I wouldn’t normally skip during the winter months, but let’s face it – nothing beats that summer glow. Applied all over the face, the tinted moisturizer gives you the most comfortable and radiant skin with the added benefit of SPF 30 / PA++  which offers a moderate protection against UVA rays.

Dior All-In-Brow 3D Kit

If I had to choose between a foundation/ tinted moisturizer and a brow kit, I’d definitely go for the latter. Tidy brows instantly give you a more polished look and frame your face to give a perfect canvas for both a more natural makeup or bold makeup look. The Dior brow kit allows you to fill your brows using two different shades which can help you create custom depth to your brows. The waterproof wax and applicators make for an easy application and allow you to set everything in place. The new Dior Backstage Brow Palette is very similar but it has the added benefit of having two colour combinations: “Light”- cappuccino shades to structure naturally light eyebrows and
“Dark” – warm shades for naturally dark eyebrows. Whichever palette you decide to go for, you will not regret it as groomed brows will always stay in fashion!
