Materiel is a Tbilisi based fashion house that utilizes the heritage of the Soviet textile industry. Founded in 2012, on the foundations of one of the biggest textile producers in the USSR dating back to 1949, the Fashion House Material has allowed creatives in Georgia with very different artistic visions to further their experience and share their talent by utilizing existing infrastructure and knowledge.

Focusing on inclusive fashion and driving inspiration from the drive and energy of Tbilisi, Materiel creates sophisticated, structured and timeless pieces for the person who seeks minimalism with a feminine twist. By using faux eco-friendly leather, wool and silk, Materiel’s focus has always been on quality, sustainability and wearability which are engrained in the design and creation of pieces created by the fashion house. With a culture of collaboration instilled at the heart of this fashion house, the team at Materiel is focused on creating designs that people could wear season after season.
