As every other girl in their late 20s, I have been getting more and more self-conscience of my smile lines and I have been trying to find a tool that can help me target that area without having any procedures done to my face. I am in my late 20s and I just don’t feel ready to take that step at this point in my life. On a positive note, a few months ago I picked up a Jade roller after seeing it on social media and I have been using it ever since.
Jade rollers have been around for centuries but they have recently become really trendy mainly via Instagram. After doing a bit of research, I found out that you can get one at an extremely low price on Amazon. I took the plunge and I have been obsessed ever since. A jade roller is a tool that its meant to help your skin with fine lines and wrinkles, circulation, lymphatic drainage, improve elasticity as well as help de-puff the eye area. I have been using it for the past five months now and although I was quite skeptical at first, I can definitely see a difference in the way my skin looks – it’s so much more radiant and plump. By alternating between the large and the small jade stone, the roller can be used in different parts of your face. The way you use the roller is in upward and outward motion all over the skin, massaging your cheeks and forehead after applying facial oil (Clarins Face Treatment oil – Blue Orchid), serum (Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair) or a sheet mask (Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask). I also like using it cold with the Dior Jelly mask just before I go to bed as it helps the skin absorb any excess product. The biggest difference for me has been how bright and glowy my complexion has been after using the jade roller the night before.
If you are looking for a tool to add to your beauty routine that can improve your skin, I would definitely recommend a jade roller. Although you can’t expect it to completely transform your skin overnight, you can’t go wrong as it costs as much as two Starbucks lattes. Win!
